11: Our journey with anger and aggression
In this episode you’ll hear me share about the inner work I have done on my parenting journey in relation to anger and aggression, and how it has made big shifts in both my oldest son and I and in our relationship.
When my son started hitting, I was challenged to the core. As someone who is practicing Aware Parenting, this brought me face to face with my own conditioning and childhood traumas around anger and aggression. I felt really big feelings and I judged my son. I couldn’t offer him the type of response I wanted.
This took me on a journey of inner growth and healing that I’ll be forever grateful for. It also deepened my understanding of what Aware Parenting is about on an embodied level.
This episode is a glimpse into what the inner work of reparenting oneself, and the gifts it can bring in terms of healing and transformation for the parent and the child, as well as deeper connection and more secure attachment between them.
By sharing about our journey, I hope to inspire and encourage you on your own journey.
